The Ghost Town of Helsinki

The villa area of Kruunuvuore, located near Laajasalo in Eastern Helsinki, was once a beautiful place. However, the wonderful villas and their surroundings built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries fell into disrepair, among other things, because the tenants of those villas had no certainty about the fate of the area, and repairs could not be invested in.
