Mustavuori, located in the northern part of Vuosaari, is one of the most amazing places to get to know the fortifications of the First World War. The best way to get to Mustavuueri is to start from the parking lot, which is located along Itäväylä, about half a kilometer north of the Kallvikintie intersection.
A small forest path starts from the parking lot towards the northeast. After a couple of hundred meters, an almost imperceptible path leads to the cliff slopes on the right. A small chasm in the rock can be seen in the middle of the fir tree. Soon the narrow chasm widens into an opening excavated into the rock, with a cave at the end. In front of you is a large ravine carved into the rock, which is almost ten meters deep and only a meter wide at its narrowest point. There is another cave along the ravine.
